LIFELONG FRIENDS JOIN FORCES TO FORM NEW POP CULTURE DESTINATION FOR GEEKS ONLINE

FRISCO, TX JULY 24, 2017 — Total Geek Live, an interactive media show that focuses on the all-encompassing geekdom of pop culture, is excited to announce the official launch its live show. TGL debuts on its official YouTube channel on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 7:00pm Central. The premiere will allow friends and fans their first opportunity to interact and share commentary with the show’s hosts Guy Chapman, Danny Gunter, John Kaiser III and Baltimore Russell in a live setting.

What started off as just an idea about us hanging out and chatting online quickly evolved into written and recorded reviews on all sorts of geeky things with many more ideas on the back-burner waiting to be explored,” said John Kaiser III, Chief Operations Officer. “It’s all pretty exciting really.”

Total Geek Live is the collaborative effort of four friends who grew up together in Corsicana, Texas, that shares their love of “growing up geek” through their unique takes on film, video games, comic books, conventions, and the culture scene in general, while blending their enthusiasm with their own professional forays in these creative industries. From personal indie endeavors to working on more well-known properties such as Wes Craven’s Red Eye, Marvel’s Daredevil Netflix series, the Mortal Kombat game series and more, the geeks have and continue to work in and around the belly of the beast that is the entertainment industry.

Our secret origins don’t include being bitten by a radioactive spider, being injected with a special serum or sent from a dying planet to save this one – but it doesn’t make our story any less special,” said Baltimore Russell, Chief Executive Officer. “By day we’re mild mannered friendly neighborhood actors, writers, producers, designers and more… but by night we’re a super group of the geekiest proportions.

Through its soft launch, Total Geek Live has already established a growing online presence through their website, social media, and several sub-series they debuted on their YouTube channel. These projects include:

* Trailer Trashin’ – Commentary on trailers for the latest upcoming films, shows, and games.
* ‘Cana Geek – A nostalgic look back at what it was like growing up “geek” in a small Texas town.
* The Geeks Review – Video and written based reviews on popular and cult geek content.
* Let’s Plays – Live and recorded Playthoughs of new and classic video games.

This really is a labor of love for all of us,” said Guy Chapman, Chief Creative Officer of Total Geek Live. “Not only does the show give us a chance to talk about things that we’re qualified and sincerely passionate about, it’s also a way of preserving a unique chapter of history in our own culture.
Not only will we be bringing our unique perspectives to the show, but also a long list of celebrity guest interviews, thanks to the friendships and networking opportunities that we have forged during each of our careers“, said Danny Gunter, Chief Financial Officer.

Join Total Geek Live Wednesday July 26th at 7pm Central on their YouTube Channel for a night of total geekery and some laughs.
