The “Wonder Years” for Danny Gunter were chronicled in some long-forgotten tome on the shelf of a silent library at the end of the road in a galaxy far, far away. As a young rascal, Danny spent his time growing up in a small town doing many geeky things.

Whether it was being a nature geek exploring with his pack of dogs on hundreds of acres, reading comic books at the Rx drug store on the town square, spending endless hours on the Nintendo Entertainment System that he bought with the money he received selling his prized bull, or simply spending time in his room reading a Tolkien book or playing G.I. Joe/Transformers/Gobots/M.A.S.K/He-Man, Danny’s youth was filled with all things geek.

When Danny moved to Corsicana, before middle school started, is when he began to make the friendships that would stand the test of time. It was there that he found kinship in his love for comics, video games, books, movies and much, much more.

After college, Danny started a family and his oldest daughter is who got him into the cosplay community.
Now in his free time, Danny likes to go to various conventions, such as Texas Frightmare, A-Kon, Dallas Fan Days, North Texas Comic Book Show, Anime Fest, and many more. A majority of the time, when he’s at a con, he’ll dress up in one of his favorite cosplays, whether it’s Pennywise the Dancing Clown, Guy-Manuel from Daft Punk, Qui-Gon Jinn, Kylo Ren, or Marty McFly, he’s always finding a way to put a smile on a con-goer’s face, because that’s what makes cosplay so much fun!

Danny’s also geek for anything business related because he’s an entrepreneur! He’s CEO of Red Stapler Studios, a digital agency that specializes in website/mobile app development, search engine optimization, and social media marketing. He is part owner of a both a private label wine company and a retail brand wine company (Winey Bitch), as well as part owner of The Snotarator, a nasal aspirator for infants and children. He’s a founding member of a referral network called Business Builders of North Texas & a business partner in Expanse LLC Social 5. Needless to say, Danny keeps pretty busy these days, but he always makes sure to have time to geek out, whether it’s playing games on the Xbox One or PC, watching something on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon, re-reading his favorite Sandman comics, or working on his latest cosplay.
