I am very much a HUGE fan of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Ever since I was a kid, I loved the toys, the comics, the cartoons, and even the movie has some redeeming qualities. 😉 So when I was introduced to Tappers of Grayskull by fellow TGL John, it’s safe to say I was hooked.
For fans of the ’80’s cartoons, the animation style is very similar, and you get to see a lot of your favorite heroes. Very bright, very nostalgic, and very addicting. You travel through twelve realms of Eternia while facing off against giant sized versions of the villains. By earning gold and leveling up, you can unlock heroes that will add damage to your taps, thereby allowing you to defeat the evil forces of Skeletor!!!
Even Orko makes it into the game, giving you opportunities to get more gold, crystals or damage. There are spells that you can use to increase your power sword as well as being able to summon Eternian lightning to defeat more difficult bosses.
In terms of game play, it’s pretty simple. Just tap. A lot. If you have a moment while waiting for the elevator, open the game and do some tapping. If you are waiting for the bus, do some tapping. A neat part of the game is that your fellow masters keep battling while the game is off, so when you come back you’ve still earned some gold, which is helpful since the upgrade costs are mind-bogglingly steep.
If you are a fan of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and want a fun, mindless mobile game to keep you entertained, this is the perfect one for you. There has also been an update allowing you to play as She-Ra in her own adventure, which is quite fun to play as well.
This is a free to play game, but as always you can always drop a few dollars to get some cool costumes and other weapons. I’ve played the game for a few months off and on, and I have to say that for an “idle tapper” game, I really enjoy it, and am pretty sure that I am the Master of the Universe now.
