Topics from the 8 P.M. CST live recap over at

Disney XD

New Comic-Con clips from the upcoming DuckTales series show fast-paced dialogue and humor as the Duck family gets to know each other.

And in one giant “Holy crap” reveal, Darkwing Duck is officially joining the new DuckTales crew!

Big Hero 6: The Series

Big Hero 6: The Series shows Hiro and the ever-cuddly Baymax in a new subway adventure squaring off against a mysterious BVS (Buena Vista Studios?).

Warner Bros.

Death of Superman

Warner Bros. Animation is doing a new two-part film based of the 1992-1993 Death and Return of Superman storyline. This is said to be more accurate to the original storyline, as opposed to 2007’s Superman/Doomsday film.

Justice League

Presenting a 4 minute trailer at Comic-Con, the new Justice League trailer boasts a brighter aesthetic and a lighter attitude amongst the heroes. It looks to be full of action, but also a lot of fun. Plus, we get to see more Wonder Woman (who now has a confirmed sequel).

Dismissing rumors, Ben Affleck is not stepping down from playing the Dark Knight, stating that “Let me be very clear, I am the luckiest guy in the world, Batman is the coolest fucking part in any universe.”

Flash’s standalone film gets a new and official title: Flashpoint. This brings back a reference to “The New 52” storyline of the same name, and one of the key elements in the present continuity.

Ready Player One

Steven Spielberg’s new movie is based off the book of the same name, featuring a fully immersive world called Oasis that features elements from Iron Giant, Back to the Future, and Nightmare on Elm Street? And these reveals are just from the trailer.

It’s no secret that this is a highly anticipated series, but seeing the four Netflix based Marvel heroes finally come together and Sigourney Weaver set as the new villain makes August 18 feel like an incredibly long time away.

Stranger Things 2

Well, the new season of Stranger Things 2 just 1980’ed the hell out of everything. There’s a new monster (monsters?) in town, and this one looks more threatening than the Demogorgon. Combine arcades, Ghostbusters, and Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and this trailer is custom built for greatness.

Funko owns the license for… well, basically everything really. So get ready to have plenty of new Pops and Dorbs come your way from DC, Marvel, Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Disney, Stranger Things, and even Zan and Jayna the Wonder Twins, complete with Gleek. Here is a highlight reel of some of the SDCC exclusives:
